Grace, our founder, was affectionately nicknamed “Gracie” by the many children she cared for. Her mother, Leanne, inspired the name, wanting to acknowledge all the little lives Grace had touched. “Gracie” represents warmth, care, and connection.
Absolutely! Consistency is key. You'll be matched with a dedicated nanny, with backup options available for sick cover or flexible needs.
We aim to place nannies within 3–4 weeks of joining. For urgent needs, families are added to our priority list so we can fast-track the matching process and support you as quickly as possible.
Yes, we are completely flexible. We know every family is unique—some parents work shifts, others have travel schedules, and routines often change as children grow. Our care is designed to adapt with you. We’ll work with your family to create a rhythm that feels seamless and supportive, no matter how your needs evolve. More than just providing care, we want to grow alongside your family - offering consistency, trust, and the kind of support that lasts through every stage.
Yes. Each shift must be a minimum of 3 hours, as per Fair Work Australia guidelines.
No. We get it—life happens! There is no charge for cancelling a shift.
Yes! Communication is one of our core values. Nannies and our admin team stay in touch with regular updates, photos, and videos throughout the day. We love sharing library visits, playground stories, and kitchen baking adventures.
We provide a replacement Gracie Nanny to ensure care continues without disruption. We also enforce a strict sick leave policy across our team.
If your nanny resigns, we immediately restart the placement process to find the right new fit—at no extra charge to you.
Gracie was built with safety at the core. Our team includes a registered nurse, and all nannies are trained rigorously with up-to-date first aid, CPR, WWCC, and police checks. We use technology to track and schedule these qualifications and maintain high standards through internal safety protocols, Kidsafe endorsements, and ongoing education.
Families must list their nanny on their insurance.
We generally prefer that nannies drive the family car, as this helps keep everything simple and safe. If they do use their own car, families just cover the standard 91 cents/km (as set by Fair Work) to account for fuel and wear and tear.
Our Terms and Conditions clearly outline this process, so you’ll feel completely supported and confident knowing everything is transparent and taken care of.
